|landuse= Mixed, residential and wildlands |fatalities= |injuries= 4 |perps= |motive= }} The Summit Fire is a wildfire that started on May 22, 2008 in the Santa Cruz Mountains, near Corralitos, California, United States. The fire prompted mandatory evacuations of homes in the area. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency for Santa Cruz County. So far the fire has burned 3,920 acres and is expected to grow to 10,000 acres. About 350 people from surrounding counties have been evacuated. Residents were ordered to evacuate the area shortly before 3 PM. The fire has also affected Maymens Flat, a tiny community of less than ten homes.
